Paintersville C&MA Church has several ministries available to serve you and your family at every stage of life. There’s something for everyone; we invite you to explore all we are and get connected.
- Sunday School: Paintersville has five age-graded classes for children and teens: Nursery (ages 2 through 4), Primary (grades Kindergarten through 2nd), Intermediate (grades 3rd through 5th), Middle School, and Senior High School. We have a class for adults with learning/developmental delays with its own dedicated curriculum. We also have five classes for adults from ages 18 to 100: Faithful Bible Investigators or "FBI" (for mostly younger adults, currently "Promised Land"), Seekers (for women, currently "Encountering God"), Doctrine (standardized lessons), and Apostles (elective, currently Gospel of John).
- Worship: Paintersville's worship style is "blended" with traditional hymns, choruses, and contemporary songs & hymns. Communion is observed the first Sunday of each month, missions is highlighted on the last Sunday of the month, and on the other Sundays we often have a personal testimony shared by one the members of our congregation. Special music (solos, duets, etc.) is offered every Sunday except Communion Sunday. Children's Church (see below) begins from right before the sermon until the end of the service.
- Children's Church: Children's Church offers children ages 3 to 2nd grade age-appropriate instruction during the sermon time. Children experience Bible teaching in a safe and child-friendly environment, freeing parents to focus fully upon the sermon. Our goal is to help children develop a faith in Jesus through stories and activities suited for younger children, eventually enabling them to share the Gospel and serve God in all they do. The elements of the weekly service include a Bible lesson, an activity or craft that reflects the story of the day, prayer, fellowship, and, if time allows, refreshments and play. Whenever there is a fifth Sunday children remain in the service so they can experience what the adults experience, preparing them for the day they will stay in the main service every Sunday.
- Sunday Evening: The Sunday evening service is very informal and includes a hymn-sing time, testimonies & praises, and a Bible study.
- PIONEER CLUBS: Clubs are held Wednesdays from 7:00 PM to 8:15 PM. The goal of Pioneer Club is to help kids learn to follow Christ in every aspect of life. This is accomplished through weekly Bible exploration, memorizing Scripture, doing fun activities, sharing prayer requests, and snack time. Clubs run throughout the school year. Kids are welcome to join at any time. Current clubs are: Scooters (age 3 through preschool), Voyagers (Kindergarten through 2nd grade), Pathfinders (3rd & 4th grades), and Traileblazers (5th & 6th grades.
- YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULT GROUPS: Youth groups for Junior High and Senior High and a young adults group (ages 18 through 25) also meet from 7:00 PM to 8:15 PM on Wednesdays.
- VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL: Also known as "Summer Bible School" is held every Wednesday night for ten weeks during the months of June, July, and August. Kids are welcome to attend whenever their summer schedule permits. During the summer we have a combined class for Junior & Senior High students. The Young Adult Class continues to meet on a weekly basis.
- PRAYER MEETING: A traditional prayer meeting is held each Wednesday night from 7:00 to 8:15 PM.
- ALLIANCE MEN & ALLIANCE WOMEN: AW and AM currently meet the last Sunday of each month in place of the Sunday Evening Service. Alliance Women focuses on missions while Alliance Men focuses on local service projects.
- SPECIAL EVENTS: Special events include: Sunday School Picnic, Missions Conference, Christmas Eve, Spring Meetings ("revival"), Hot Dog Roast, Tent Meeting (evangelistic outreach), and other events as announced.
